Garlic Butter Crusted Chicken Breast

Garlic Butter Crusted Chicken Breast

I’ve had a recipe forming in my head for several days now. When I make chicken breast I do the usual season breast, coat in flour, drench in egg-wash, coat in bread crumbs, and fry in hot oil in a cast iron frying pan. I was getting bored with it and wanted something new.

Enter, garlic butter! I love garlic. Garlic is my friend. Just ask my wife. If a recipe calls for a clove or two of garlic I usually triple or quadruple it. The more garlic the better. So inspiration struck me to first coat the breasts in a homemade garlic butter that I always make for cheesy garlic bread, then continue on with the usual procedure.

Homemade Garlic Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 bulbs of garlic finely chopped (yes bulbs, not cloves. Because – garlic!)
  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter (real butter people, not that nasty margarine stuff)
  • 2 Tsp of salt
  • 1 Tbsp of garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp of onion powder
  • 2 Tsp of black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp of Italian Seasoning

Directions:

  • Soften the butter to the point of almost being a liquid. You want it very creamy.
  • Mix in all ingredients and stir thoroughly.
  • Let the mixture set over night. Trust me.

Now that you have your garlic butter ready you can begin prepping the other ingredients.
